“Can’t Stand Losing You”, “Canary In A Coalmine” und “Shape of My Heart” gehörten zu den Höhepunkten des ersten (von zwei) Sets.

Änglagård-Reunion

Alright, it’s been a long time since they disbanded, but now they’re rehearsing again and also writing some new material. Take That!? No! Änglagård! Yeah, right, I’m speaking of the almighty Änglagård! I pinched my arm twice, but this is not a dream. Änglagård!!! Wahoo!

8 Femmes, Pass The Hat, Judy Mary Jane

Last night Jan and I were at a pub here in Konstanz and while we sat there I suddenly found my attention shifting. Could it be? Yes! The stereo played a Brandos-song! In fact, it played the whole “Pass The Hat”-album. Wow! Earlier, we had watched a French movie called 8 Frauen. It was really great and I suggest you all should watch it!

As I’m writing this I’m penning down the last words for a country song I’ve written recently, which I’ll record later on today. It’s called “Judy Mary Jane”.

Street music

Thomas and I will be playing live somewhere in Konstanz next Sunday! Unless it rains, then we stay at his place and get drunk. Just kiddin’! But we are going to play some songs, we just don’t know where. Since it’s going to be kind of an open air rehearsal I won’t be telling you, anyway. We’re playing folk songs, most of them of Irish origin.

I am a golden God!

A while ago I made a sensational discovery I’m now going to share with you: There is a Johannes-Schult-Weg somewhere in Hamburg! I’m famous!

Humppa live!

On Thursday I saw Eläkeläiset live in Munich playing an awesome concert.

Nothing

There’s nothing to report. So enjoy yourself, get some coffee, relax, get some more coffee, stay at home and watch the rain from your window, have another cup of coffee, think for a while about having a little nap, then dismiss this idea and drink a cup of coffee instead, then watch some quiet, slow movie like Matrix and then go to bed and think how beautiful sleep can be.

Introducing Anglagard.net

This morning I published the first version of http://www.anglagard.net – a homepage about the Swedish band Änglagård (1991-1994). It’s a rather small site, but I hope it will persist. Time will tell. Anyway, I won’t promote its birth, at least not yet. Mainly because the site navigation might still be improved and also, because I don’t want to push the page into the spotlight of the progressive rock world. I hope it can develop a little bit instead, as its popularity grows. Well, that’s it – I suggest you go there, have a look at it and check out Änglagård’s music.

LotR again, From Thy Ashes R.I.P.

I watched The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring two times last Sunday and it was awesome. I can’t wait to see it again!

From Thy Ashes have disbanded after a good farewell-concert last Saturday in Schorndorf. We played most of the Amberland-songs but also a bunch of old tracks. Boris and Jan joined us on stage each for one song and I left the stage with mixed feelings.

Last From Thy Ashes gig announced, Halloween

On Friday, December 22nd, From Thy Ashes will be playing at the Hammerschlag in Schorndorf. Since this might just be my last concert with the band, I suggest all you get there. I spent Halloween at a local pub where a really entertaining Police-Coverband played. They even played “Shape of My Heart”!
