Am kommenden Dienstag (18. Oktober) spiele ich im Schwanen in Waiblingen ein paar 52-Sekunden-Lieder. Kommt! Weitere Infos sind hier.

Gestern hatte ich die Ehre im Vorprogramm von Nisse und Lars am Wasserturm in Waiblingen-Bittenfeld aufzuspielen. Es war mir eine Freude! Zur Feier des Tages kramte ich “Intelligenzkapazität” aus. Ansonsten lag der Schwerpunkt auf 52-Sekunden-Liedern wie “Konrad” und “Reis“. Hier ist die ganze Setlist:

Am kommenden Samstag, den 16. April werde ich in Waiblingen-Bittenfeld als Vorprogramm von Nisse & Lars aufspielen. Los geht der Liedermacherspaß um 18 Uhr. Wer eine Anfahrtsbeschreibung braucht oder Liedwünsche hat, melde sich gerne bei mir. Es gibt auch ein Facebook-Event dazu.

Gestern sang ich erstmals in Saarbrücken vor Publikum ein paar 52-Sekunden-Lieder – und auch ein paar etwas längere Songs. Es gab ein paar Live-Premieren von neuen wie alten Stücken. Es war ein schönes Fest. Also es hat zumindest niemand panisch den Raum verlassen, als ich zu singen anfing. Meine Stimme hielt durch. Juhu! Am Ende habe ich sogar mehr Lieder gespielt gehabt als geplant, nämlich diese hier (in eben jener Reihenfolge):

This is the final song of this year’s batch of 52-second songs. I made it! Somehow I found the energy and time and ideas to create 52 songs. Right now I’m just happy that next week I won’t have to come up with yet another short song.

The final installment was written during, you guessed it, Christmas. After listening to some boogie woogie I decided to rock around the Christmas tree a bit. Nothing fancy, but I like it.

This is a last minute effort. I just played around, kept something, played some more, kept some more, mixed it, saved it, put it online. The title is a working title. I wish I could offer something more adequate, but it’s late and it would be too sad to miss the weekly deadline so close to New Year’s Eve. Anyway, this instrumental song features guitars and reverb.

This is a pop music fragment. There’s also a bridge that didn’t fit into th 52-second format. If I ever get to produce an album with Chris de Burgh (hah!) I’ll pull this one out of the archive for sure.

This track should have some lyrics but it’s Monday evening and so I’m posting this as it is. The initial verse melody originally led to a e/C/G/D part. Maybe I’ll come up with a proper chorus at some point. For the time being, here’s an instrumental sketch.

#48 The One Who Buttons

This song just happened while I was attempting to write some progressive rock stuff. The ending of the melody was borrowed from an unreleased Manticess song (“Dragonfire”). I might still work on some progressive rock material later today, but for this week’s song I’ll leave you with this somber instrumental piece.
