On Thursday I saw Eläkeläiset live in Munich playing an awesome concert.

This morning I published the first version of http://www.anglagard.net – a homepage about the Swedish band Änglagård (1991-1994). It’s a rather small site, but I hope it will persist. Time will tell. Anyway, I won’t promote its birth, at least not yet. Mainly because the site navigation might still be improved and also, because I don’t want to push the page into the spotlight of the progressive rock world. I hope it can develop a little bit instead, as its popularity grows. Well, that’s it – I suggest you go there, have a look at it and check out Änglagård’s music.

On Friday, December 22nd, From Thy Ashes will be playing at the Hammerschlag in Schorndorf. Since this might just be my last concert with the band, I suggest all you get there. I spent Halloween at a local pub where a really entertaining Police-Coverband played. They even played “Shape of My Heart”!

Last night I saw Roxette live in Stuttgart. It was a great concert. On Sunday I played my first solo-gig! It was swell. Some people insisted on Monoton’s “Intelligenzkapazität”. I had intended to play only English songs. Fortunately I remembered the lyrics even though I hadn’t rehearsed the song.

The Mark Knopfler concert last night was brilliant. The band played a fantastic set and the sound was one of the best I’ve ever heard.

As most of you know I spent five days in Stockholm. I had a great time there not only because I attended a concert of Reminder.

A note for my former class mates: Es ist vermutlich ganz gut, daß das Abikalypse-Forum dicht gemacht hat. Nachdem ich in Stockholm war, bezweifle ich, daß wir es am härtesten brauchen. Oder hat von Euch schon mal jemand Anlauf genommen um noch in den vollkommen überfüllten Bus reinzukommen?! Die spinnen, die Schweden.

Yesterday, I saw Bar jeder Vernunft, a grotesque mixture between play and concert featuring Norbert Thiemel. It was rather absurd and a lot of alcohol was involved in the performance. Great entertainment.

Ihr kennt doch alle das Gefühl. Der Tag war schön, das Wetter mies, beim Einkaufen an der längsten Schlange angestellt, einen guten Freund besucht und über Studium und Star Wars philosophiert, ein paar Verben konjugiert, ein bißchen Schlagzeug gespielt, kurzum: Alles ist semi-ok. Doch dann, schon kurz davor es sein zu lassen, da eh nur alle paar Monate ein Update drauf ist, betrete ich http://www.exergy-music.se. Dort gab es heute das Video zu dem Song “Scared” auch für alle nicht-Skandinavier zu sehen. Genial! Wahoo!

Objektiv gesprochen: Es ist sehr dezent in schwarz und hellen Grau gehalten, der Song ist großartig und für alle, die es (noch) nicht wissen: Reminder spielen Rock/Pop mit einem melancholischen Einschlag.

Gestern Abend war ich beim Konzert von The Mr. T Experience, das sehr kurzweilig und unterhaltsam war.

Gestern bin ich im WWW auf eine schwedische Band namens Reminder gestoßen, die ich euch hiermit ans Herz legen will. Der Sound erinnert mich am ehesten an R.E.M., obwohl die Stimme bei Reminder etwas wärmer klingt.
